Hrant Dink Foundation
The Hrant Dink Foundation was established in 2007 to keep Hrant Dink’s dreams, struggle, language and heart alive.
The Foundation defines the development of a culture of dialogue, peace and empathy as the basis of all its activities. Its areas of work include:
- promoting equal opportunities among children and young people and supporting their creativity,
- encouraging the recognition of cultural diversity as a source of richness and difference as a right,
- developing cultural relations between the societies of Türkiye, Armenia and Europe,
- supporting Türkiye’s democratisation process,
- supporting historical research free from nationalism and racism,
- collecting writings, photographs and documents relating to Hrant Dink.
In these areas, the Hrant Dink Foundation publishes books, creates archives, organises summer schools and festivals focusing on film, music, visual arts, dance and literature, and presents an award in memory of Hrant Dink.
